Cider Diver

Daughters of Madness set out to produce a craft style hard cider straying form typical big brand mass produced ciders. The drinker gets those bubbles, just like the diver enters the underwater for exploration. We are taking you on a new journey of indigenous flavors, representing its rustic surroundings from the process. It is defintely the wonder of traveling beneath the “waves” of the crafted realm.

It represents our flagship product and portrays the opposite; not mass produced, and has a quirky style and appeal of its own.

Pearl

This cider creation was housed in French Burgundy barrels. 25 hefty kilograms of Belgian black currants (groselha preta) were added to each barrel alongside a small satchel of star anise. After months of aging - the barrel whispered to us that our “Pearl” was all developed and it was time to bottle up our spoils of victory. You will find this cider fruity, earthy and a tickle higher in acidity. The star anise adds soft notes of clove and cola.

Sea Foam

This hard cider creation was carefully crafted adding just enough dry natural red wine to the hard cider. Aged on whole berry fruit with French oak staves for 6 months in stainless steel tank. What we end up with is a cider that tastes like a young, soft bodied, fruity red wine with notes of red raspberry and slight creaminess from the oak.

Jellyfish

The inspiration behind this cider fusion came to us on a day when we were spending the evening on the beach near Santa Cruz watching the surfers cruise the waves. This creation is a neat blend of rose natural wine, cider, and a small dash of pasteurized sea water, which adds a twist of salinity. Super fun.
